What is AirKeys?

The Adjustable Image Recognition Keyboard System (AirKeys) is a proof-of-concept, projection-based virtual keyboard utilizing Computer Vision to detect and transmit user input to multiple devices.

We want to create a keyboard system that:

Semester 1

The initial phase of the AirKeys, which spanned from January 2023 to May 2023, set the foundation for a successful development lifecycle.

The phase focused on the project's inception where we defined the core objectives and scope as well as securing sponsor interest. Next developed a set of realistic requirements from the objectives we set out earlier. Finally, we outlined software's structure, components, and interactions and decided on the technology stack that would best fit our system.

Semester 2

The second phase of the AirKeys, which spanned from August 2023 to December 2023, continued to build upon the previously established foundation .

The phase focused on iterative development where we implemented the core functionality of the system. Comprehensive documentation was generated throughout the development process. This documentation included code comments and architectural diagrams, enabling smooth knowledge transfer and future maintenance. Lastly, the project plan was periodically revisited and adjusted to ensure that the project remained aligned with evolving goals.
